Mitch Mallahan's natural talent, energy, and genuine artistry make him one of todays most promising up and coming artists. Growing up with a gifted musical family in a little town in Washington State called Bellinghamm, Mitch was influenced by his Mother's country band and Seattle's alternative genres.
His feel good music and clever songwriting transcends age. After recording his first Demo in 2006 at Bayside Recording Studio (Bellingham, WA) he created quite a buzz in the Pacific Northwest and was strongly encouraged by producer Chip Westerfield to move to the great Music City. Mitch relocated to Nashville in January of 2009 but has kept his strong Pacific Northwest following.
Mitch helped create the Nashville band, Big Nose Kate, and has spent the last two years finessing his on stage presence as a lead vocalist/ guitarist. Big Nose Kate has played a variety of venues including a number of private events, countless bars/restaurants and also maintained a weekly presence on Tootsies backroom stage from Navember 2009 to February 2010. Being on stage with Big Nose Kate has been a stimulating and inspiring experience for Mitch and after every show he is left with an even greater desire to perform and share his own music/writing.
As a solo act, Mitch continues to write and has an ever growing catalog of songs. Check his Gigs page to see his upcoming shows. Mitch is planning to get back in the studio in the summer of 2011 to record a new EP, so check back often to find out more.
